Your Experience

Destination Sport Experiences are proud to be appointed as official tour operator of the 2022 Paris Roubaix Challenge. We also offer hospitality and VIP experiences for the Paris Roubaix pro race.

The 2021 Paris – Roubaix was won by Italian Sonny Colbrelli. Riding his first Paris-Roubaix at the age of 31, European champion Sonny Colbrelli outsprinted his two breakaway companions, Florian Vermeersch and Mathieu van der Poel. The race was marked by wet and muddy conditions. Another Italian, Gianni Moscon, looked like having his grip on the race but it all slipped away from him as he was victim of a puncture and a crash in the final stages of the race. It was also the first edition for the women’s race, which was won by Lizzi Deignan who achieved an impressive solo victory.

On Saturday 16th April, 2022 you will be able to ride the cobbles of Paris – Roubaix the day before you see both the elite women and the men take on the Hell of the North.

Saturday 16 April, 2022Roubaix Challenge day

You will be able to see how the riders of the Men’s cycling elite handle the cobbled sectors of Roubaix tomorrow. Today it’s your turn. 24 hours before the professionals, amateurs from around the world will have the opportunity to measure themselves against the legend of the Hell of the North with its mythical cobbled sections like the "Carrefour de l'Arbre" and the "Trouée d'Arenberg".

You have a choice of 3 sportive distances today. The 70km and 145km start and finish at the velodrome. After an early breakfast and preparing the bikes, we will guide you the short distance to the velodrome for the start.

The premium 170km event is back in 2022. However, the number of places is limited due to the fact that Paris–Roubaix Femmes will be taking place on the same course and day as the Paris–Roubaix Challenge. The 170km distance is reserved for seasoned cyclists. The average speed needed to reach the Velodrome by 4pm is 30km/h on asphalt roads and 15km/h on the cobblestones (the Challenge covers about 50km of cobblestones). If you are unable to maintain this speed, the local authorities will ask you to leave the course and find your own route back to Roubaix.

The long distance Roubaix Challenge starts from the small town of Busigny, you'll need to make your own way to Busigny this morning.

All sportive distances finish at the Roubaix velodrome. From here it’s just a short distance to get back to our hotel.

This afternoon and early evening re-pack your bikes ahead of travel and you’ll also be able to return your rental bikes. We’ll be back at the hotel in the afternoon and this evening we’ll eat at the hotel together.

Sunday 17 April, 2022 : The 2022 Paris – Roubaix

Today you have 3 options. You can travel to the start in Compiegne, and book a start area experience, travel to the Carrefore de L'Arbe or if you want a really easy day, you can walk to the velodrome from the hotel in time for the finish.

We offer experieces and hospitality at each of these locations, which can be added to your basket during the booking process.

Note that for the start in Compiegne and the Carrefore de L'Arbe, you will need to make your own way to the location.

This evening a meal in the hotel is included.

Monday 18 April, 2022Departure

After breakfast make your own arrangements for departing Roubaix.
