Your Experience

The Paris Marathon also known as the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is now one of the biggest marathons in the world, with an expected 60,000+ entrants. A big percentage travel to this magnificent city from other parts of the globe and around a third are 1st time marathoners. With a cut off time of 5hrs 40mins it truly is a race for all to experience.

The starting line of the Paris Marathon is on the famous Champs Elysees Avenue, in front of the Arc de Triomphe. Runners head towards and around Place De la Concorde before turning right into Rue de Rivoli. This section takes you past Hotel de Ville, Place de la Bastille and through a more residential area on the eastern edge of the city before you enter Bois de Vincennes park and see the Chateau de Vincennes. A wide loop of the Bois de Vincennes returns runners to the heart of the city and along the river Seine, past Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower before you enter the Bois de Boulogne park. 5kms around the park before you finally and triumphantly finish in the wide and spacious Avenue Foch. In a nutshell Paris in the Spring together with one of the biggest sightseeing marathons in the World is an incredible experience you won’t forget.
