Our Cycling Weekenders are time efficient cycling breaks exploring the most iconic cycling locations made famous by the Grand Tours and the Monuments. Running from Wednesday to Sunday, you'll stay in one place and you'll have 4 epic, fully supported days on a bike. Our Weekenders Series includes: the Stelvio, the Dolomites, Mont Ventoux, Flanders and coming soon are Alpe d'Huez and Angliru. We offer dates throughout the year but groups can contact us for any date.

Four days in climbing wonderland. If you only ever go on one cycling break, make sure it's to the Dolomites. Classic climbs, unbelievable scenery & great food. It does not get better!

The Dolomites is a special place in the cycling world. Ask anyone that's been and they will rave about the incredible scenery, warm hospitality and amazing climbs (and descents!). On this trip we spend 4 nights in Corvara. On the rides we take in the classic climbs of the region including the Passo Giau, Sella Ronda and some local routes off the beaten path. The routes for the main bunch are challenging but suitable for most regular riders, the front group routes are more suited to experienced climbers. Corvara is the perfect setting for post ride r&r. Our hotel has a spa and sports massage and the terrace out front is made for a couple of beers as the sun goes down over the mountains.

Tour Highlights

Ride the Sella Ronda: Often called the best cycling route in the world, the Sella Ronda is a circular route over four climbs with amazing views throughout.

R&R in beautiful Corvara: Our hotel is in Corvara, our favourite cycling town in the world & the home of the popular Maratona. Perfect for post ride spas & beers on the balcony.

Incredible views, every ride: The true highlight of this long weekend is the scenery in all directions. On every ride we are surrounded by incredible views, clean air and life affirming riding.

Itinerary

Wednesday : Arrival & Warm Up Ride

Arrival day. We meet you in Venice Marco Polo airport and head out at 12.30pm for a 3.30pm arrival in Corvara. Arrange flights to arrive into Venice by 11.30am.

Our mechanics are on hand to build bikes. For those wanting a quick spin, we have a warm up ride up the Gardena. Our welcome dinner is at 7.30pm to go through the agenda in more detail.

Our base in Corvara is Hotel Villa Eden. Set in the heart of Corvara, the hotel overlooks the Campolongo. The same family has run this hotel for generations and the local dishes in the evening are delicious. There is a good wellness area downstairs - perfect to recover after a long ride.

Thursday : Sella Ronda - Front Group 85km & 2712m/ Main Bunch 52km & 1768m

Breakfast is from 7.30am, we meet at 9.15am for a rollout at 9.30am. Our mechanic is on hand for any last minute bike work before we head out towards over the Passo Campolongo together. The front group head to the stunning Passo Fedaia before coffee & cake in Canazei and then going over the Sella & Gardena home. The main bunch ride the Sella Ronda over the Pordoi where we grab a coffee and then the stunning Sella & Gardena. We have a late lunch back in Corvara before a relaxing afternoon.

Friday : Passo del Erbe - 115km & 2712m

Another breakfast from 7.30am and rollout at 9.30am. Today both groups ride the same route but in two groups at their own speed. We head off the beaten path today and escape the world going over the Passo delle Erbe and then back over the Gardena. A stunning local ride on narrow, empty roads today is one of the highlights of the weekend

Saturday : Giau / Tre Cime - Front Group 150km & 4449m/ Main Bunch 84km & 2712m

A big day for the main bunch, a huge day for the front group! Front group leave at 8.00am for a monster 150km day in the mountains going over the Valporolo, dropping into Cortina before the mighty Tre Cime, Giau & Campolongo on the way home. We have lunch at the bottom of Tre Cime. For the main bunch we leave at 9.30am going over the stunning Valporolo before taking on the mighty Giau, arguably the hardest climb in the region. We have lunch after the descent and then ride home over the Campolongo.

Sunday : Departure Day

After one last breakfast, we say our goodbyes. The transfer leaves Corvara at 10.00am to get back to Venice to 1.00pm. Book your flights for anytime after 3.00pm and head home with some amazing memories of riding one of the world's great cycling regions.
