The competition starts with a 3.8 kilometres swim in the Main-Donau-Canal, followed by a 180 kilometres bike race and a marathon run of 42,2 kilometres. The flat and spectator-friendly one-lap route links the “traditional course” along the Canal with the inner city of Roth and Büchenbach. The winner of DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep will probably again cross the finish-line in less than eight hours this year.
Roth is a small town and therefore has not got many hotels. We offer one hotel in Roth (hotel Dormero) but for a 7 night stay only. We have therefore chosen to stay in Nuremberg which is located at 30km from Roth.
If you are flying then we offer regular airport transfers for you and your bike. Nuremberg Airport is your best choice but we also offer Munich Airport as there is a bigger choice of low cost airlines that fly into Munich. below you will find some alternatives to flying as well.
