Brighton Marathon and Hotel Stay

Friday 8th of April 2022 : Optional early arrival day and race pack collection

All of our hotels are available to be booked from today if you wish to make your Brighton Marathon weekend last a little bit longer. Come and visit our Expo stand at the Brighton Marathon Beach Expo village. 

Saturday 9th April 2022 : Arrival and race pack collection

Make your way to Brighton and on arrival check in to your chosen hotel. Usually hotel rooms are ready after 3pm; if you arrive earlier please be prepared to leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and head off to the Marathon Expo to collect your race documents. Race documents must be collected from the Brighton Marathon Beach Village on the beach at Madeira Drive, either on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April 2022.

The Beach Village is a 3-day event in its own right, taking place across the entire weekend. It will open on the Friday, comprising race pack collection, retail, massage and food & drink as well as the Charity Village and big screen. The Expo has plenty to see and do, so allow plenty of time to collect your race documents, shop from the many exhibitors, listen to the experts on stage and enjoy the pre-race day vibe.

The Race and Rider Pack Collection marquee will be located in the Beach Village on Brighton beach, just east of Brighton Palace Pier. Head to the pier and walk along the prom towards the Marina. There will be limited parking in the immediate area, so we advise walking or taxi drop off.

Collection will be available at the below times:

·       Friday 8th April 2022: 11am – 7pm

·       Saturday 9th April 2022: 10am – 6pm

When you arrive, queuing lanes will be clearly marked and you should choose the lane that is relevant to your event. Once inside the marquee choose the lane according to your predicted finish time, now you have completed your training.

The rest of the day you can relax and prepare for race. If you have any questions, please meet with one of the Destination Sport Experiences Team at the Beach Village.

Mini mile

This also the day of the mini mile races. 

Sunday 10th April 2022 : RACE DAY

This is the day you have trained so hard for! After an early breakfast please get ready to leave the hotel for the 10k, the BM ride or the Brighton Marathon.

Celebrate with friends and family in the huge Beach Village complete with shopping, food, drink and big screens. On the Sunday (Race Day), the Beach Village will become a hive of activity and celebration as runners reunite with friends and family and enjoy the live footage on big screens, the Charity Village, food, bars and an atmosphere like no other at a running event.

Family and friends can organsie their days in their own time and pace to support and spectate along the race route. The Destination Sport Experiences team will be happy to advise. After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate…you deserve it!

Monday 11th April 2022 - DEPARTURE DAY

Unless you have booked extra nights with us then today is the day you check out of your room and we say thank you for joining us. It’s not goodbye but instead we’ll see you next time as we hope you will join us for another Destination Sport Experience.

Payments

When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.

The cost of the event entry is non-refundable.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take, and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy covers you to participate in running events in the UK. 

Starting Pens and Bib Numbers

Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2022 Brighton Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.

Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process for the Brighton Marathon. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information provided.

Brighton is a seaside resort located within 50 miles of London. The city 

Travelling to Brighton is easy as the city is just a 60 minute train ride from London and only 30 minutes train ride from Gatwick Airport. Brighton Station is right in the city centre so you will be able to smell the sea as soon as you step off the train.
